Before you install, please check the system requirements and supported platforms.

Artifactory can be installed and run in a couple of ways:

  1. On the bundled Jetty container as a standalone server, or as Unix or Windows service
  2. Using the RPM distribution, which sets up Artifactory as a service on a bundled Tomcat container - recommended.
  3. On other servlet containers as a standard WAR weapp - Tomcat 6 or 7 is recommended.

You can also configure Artifactory to run on top of various storage options, for greater performance and ease of maintenance.
