Installing Artifactory

Before you install, refer to the System Requirements and Supported Platforms section.

Artifactory can be installed and run in a number of different ways:

  1. Using the bundled Tomcat container as a UNIX Service or Windows Service
  2. Using the bundled Tomcat container as a Standalone Server
  3. Using the RPM Distribution, which sets up Artifactory as a service on a bundled Tomcat container - recommended
  4. As a standard WAR web app, either Drop The War or see specific instructions depending on the servlet container

For greater performance and ease of maintenance you can also configure Artifactory to run on top of various storage options.
